Okay, I tried to be clever with the title of the post but, alas, I am not terribly funny. (My wife groans whenever I get on a dad-joke run. My kids do too. It’s just the burden I must bear.) What I want to draw attention to is my friend @AlchemistNon’s provocatively titled recent video “Jesus is Dead.” It’s one of his longer videos but well worth the time to watch it. It is in many ways the synthesis of other videos he has done that touch on the subject, making it a useful overview of his counter-apologetic.
A few quick comments. First, no one who watches this video should think that it is the end of the debate on the resurrection. That’s not how it works. Second, some of the comments on the video from Christians are terrible and reveal not only how poorly read many of them are but also how poorly behaved they tend to be. Sometimes the least attractive thing about Christianity is Christians. Finally, Dustin mentions toward the end of the video an upcoming review of Lydia McGrew’s recent book Testimonies to the Truth. I’ll be part of making that happen, so stay tuned!
