Over at the YouTube channel Bible Unboxed, the channel’s host Lachlan (I don’t know his last name) goes over the history of the BC/AD system of dating and why scholars today tend to use the BCE/CE system. (This was all in light of an eye-popping tweet from historian Tom Holland who declared that would rather boil his head than use the BCE/CE system.) There’s a ton here I did not know and it’s for that reason I’m commending it to both of my readers.
If you haven’t subscribed to Bible Unboxed, go ahead and do it. I thought I had since I’ve seen their videos pop up regularly but when I checked it was clear I had not. I fixed that!
