Jesus in Socialist/Materialist Perspective

This year James Crossley and Robert Myles published a book looking at the life of Jesus through a historical-materialist lens entitled Jesus: A Life in Class Conflict (Zero Books, 2023). I’ve not had a chance to read it (yet) but I did stumble across a series of short videos that introduce the subject matter of the book in a bid to hook potential readers. They’re really great and give off this late 70s/early 80s vibe. (For some reason, they remind me of that Leonard Nimoy program In Search Of. I used to love that show as a kid, in part because of the music.)

Check out these videos and then check out their book if you haven’t already!
